Step by step details for Manitoba Immigration

Manitoba, Canada

There are many immigration schemes that are available to immigrate to Canada. The one which is mostly used is the Express Entry. Everyone prefers to go with Express Entry because of only one reason that is the process will complete faster. Officially it takes six months to get the PR.

There are people who wants some basic information about this process and are looking for how it works and are also wandering for any other alternatives if their scores are not enough to get selected in the draw. So, this blog is targeted to those individuals who are seeking such information.

First most Step: Giving IELTS Exam

The first step for any kind of methods of going to Canada is to prepare and give the IELTS exam. It is mandatory to give the IELTS and most important of all is the bands that you get, which plays a vital role in the calculation of the scores that will be rewarded in the Express Entry. So, work very hard and try to achieve as much band as possible in all the four categories (Reading, Speaking, Writing, and listening). The minimum score that is expected to have is 7778 (Speaking-7, Reading-7, Writing-7, and Listening-8), which can increase your chances to get selected for PR. You can give this exam in any, IDP or British Council Center.

Another important point is that the points for your education and work experience are also dependent on the bands that you have got in IELTS.

Once you have given the IELTS, there are two paths to move forward. One is to go with direct Express Entry and another option is to apply directly to some province.

Note: You can apply to any number of province at a time, but when you are selected in any province draw, then you have to withdraw from all the other province and you have to move ahead with the province that selected you.

Path One: Express Entry

Step 1: Get your ECA done: Duration: 2 months

For applying through Express Entry it is mandatory to have ECA done for your education if you have completed your education outside Canada. Most preferred institute is WES to get it done. For this ECA you need to go to colleges and universities to get the transcript and then send those in the courier to WES.

Step 2: Create Express Entry profile:

Once you have the ECA done, you can apply by creating Express Entry profile. We will get Express entry profile ID and Job code. You will get the CRS Score calculated based on the information provided by you. On the basis of this CRS score Express Entry draws are conducted. You need to wait till you are selected in the draw and get the ITA (Invitation to apply).

Note: Step 3 is optional if you have enough CRS score that can get you selected in Express Entry draw. Step 3 is to help those who do not have enough CRS score to get selected.

Step 3: Apply to any PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) for nomination certificate:

There are certain chances to increase your CRS score if you are awarded with nomination certificate from any province of Canada. For example, if your CRS score is 380 and when you get the nomination certificate, your score will be 380+600 = 980 points. You will get 600 additional points for nomination certificate that can help you to get selected in the next Express Entry draw. Hence, this is the best option one can opt for. You need to apply to some province, to do the same below are the steps.

Step 3A: Submit EOI (Expression of Interest):

You need to submit EOI which should include the Express Entry ID that you got in Step 2. You will get the score for that specific province EOI draw. All the province has their own method of calculating points and these points are not at all dependent on the CRS score of Express Entry. Both the scores, CRS Score and EOI score are different. For example, if you submit EOI to Manitoba, then you have to check EOI draw of Manitoba and not the Express entry draw and check the minimum score that is selected.

Step 3B: Selected in EOI draw:

Once you are selected in the EOI draw, you will get the LAA (Letter of Advice to Apply) and they will give you 60 days to apply. You will have to collect all the required documents and have to scan those documents and then submit those online to province within 60 days. All the documents should be included which shows the evidence of your information.

Step 3C: Nominated by Province:

Once you have applied to the province, they will review your profile and documents and they find accurate then they will provide the Nomination Certificate from specific province government. You have to accept this nomination issued to you.

Step 4: Add the Nomination Certificate to Express Entry:

You will get additional 600 points by adding the nomination certificate and it will add 600 more points to your current CRS score.

Step 5: Selected in Express Entry Draw:

As our score is higher enough to get selected, you will surely get selected in the next express entry draw within 15 days. On selection, you will get ITA (Invitation to Apply) from Canada government.

Step 6: Apply to IRCC for PR online:

As you get the ITA, you have to submit the online application to IRCC to get the PR VISA. This online process takes 6 months to complete from this step till step 10.
